The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to enable first aid to be given to employees if they are injured or become ill at work. These regulations apply to all workplaces including those with less than five employees and to the self-employed.
The Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work qualification is accredited by Ofqual, ensuring that the training course is of the highest quality.
Successfully completing the one-day programme will qualify candidates to become a first aider in their workplace (or sports club etc) and involves a practical assessment and an examination consisting of multiple-choice questions.
Successful candidates receive Certification, valid for three years and an ID card as evidence of their first aid skills.
