The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 makes it mandatory that a fire risk assessment is carried out and that general fire precautions are taken to ensure the safety of employees and others. Our Fire Risk Assessments will help you to establish what precautions are required. These may include:

  • Fire Awareness and Fire Marshal / Fire Warden training - we hold regular Fire Marshal training sessions at our training facility in Horwich. We can also carry this training out on your site.
  • Conducting fire drills
  • Advice on installing and maintaining correct firefighting equipment and fire detection and alarm systems
  • Advice on appropriate signage
  • Making arrangements with external emergency services if required
  • Ensuring emergency routes lead directly to a place of safety and emergency routes/exits are provided and protected, adequately signed, illuminated with emergency lighting where required and kept clear at all times
  • Nominating one or more competent persons to implement these measures
