We are Hiring - Part Time Health & Safety Advisor

Permanent contract subject to 6-month probationary period.
Initially 2 days (7.5 Hours per day) with a view to increase over time.
Salary - dependent on hours, qualifications and experience.


Job outline

Due to our continued growth, we are now looking for someone who is passionate about Occupational Health and Safety and is looking to establish a career by gaining valuable experience, mentoring, and in-house training.

You will be joining a small, friendly team supporting our established consultants in their day-to-day work.

Initially, the job role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Developing and reviewing Clients’ Health and Safety Policies and Procedures;
  • Assisting with Clients’ SSIP accreditations such as CHAS and Safe Contractor;
  • Assisting with the development of desktop generic and bespoke risk assessments (work shadowing on site will considered as you develop);
  • Undertaking research to assist with Client queries;
  • Assisting with our monthly Newsletter;
  • Creating short H & S Blogs for social media platforms and our website;
  • Assisting with keeping our website updated;
  • Improving communications with Clients and seek to grow positive relationships;
  • Assisting with generating enquiries/new business;
  • Supporting our in-house training courses;
  • Undertaking in-house compliance checks; and

Any other task our team feels would be beneficial to your professional development and is within your competency remit.

Person Spec

  • A NEBOSH General Certificate as minimum, however someone with IOSH Managing Safely may be considered with experience and a keen desire to learn;
  • A can-do attitude;
  • Good organisational skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Able to deal with conflicting demands and priorities and work calmly under pressure;
  • High standard of IT literacy;
  • Able to work unsupervised as well as collaborate as part of a team;
  • Sales and negotiation skills;
  • Knowledge of basic commercial principles;

Ability to travel to client sites throughout the North West, as required.
